Can I use IRS Form 4361 which exempts me from paying self-employment tax?

The IRS Form 4361 allows people to be exempt from paying federal self-employment tax. This form can ONLY be used by ministers, members of religious orders and Christian Science practitioners. If you believe you qualify as a missionary for this exemption, you would download this form from the IRS Web site and submit it to the IRS with your Form 1099-NEC that Mission Quest issues in January of each year. Whether you qualify to use this form is up to the IRS; not Mission Quest. Please consult with a qualified tax consultant and the IRS before filing this form.
